Taytay Falls is also known as Majayjay Falls located in Taytay, Majayjay, Laguna, Philippines, is one of the favorite waterfall destinations in Laguna. It has a height of 10-15 meters and releases pristine, icy cold spring waters coming from Mount Banahaw.

Taytay Falls is pretty impressive. Much of the surrounding areas are still pristine but the catch basin around the falls has been dammed in and concreted. We learned that Taytay Falls is now being harnessed to irrigate farmlands in the vicinity. We actually saw a concreted irrigation canal that ran parallel to the path to the waterfalls. Because it has been developed for tourism, Taytay Falls had several visitors on the day of our visit – and this was not even on a weekend. Quite the opposite of Bunga Falls. It took Leo quite a long wait before people got out of the way for some of these shots.

Note: Alcohol is allowed but need to transfer in a plastic bottle

Water temperature can reach up to 10° C
